it all started in the garden
I learned about growing medicinal herbs at a local farm and started a few things in the backyard — a raised bed here, a few pots there. I harvested and dried herbs, then made my first tinctures and balms. Gradually the raised beds multiplied. The more I learned about herbs, the more I wanted to grow.
a name, and a flower
As I began crafting balms and sharing them as gifts, the feedback was immediate: "Please make more!" And so, Golden Petal Herb Studio was born. The "Golden Petal" is the bright orange Calendula — a gentle powerhouse of anti-inflammatory action, and my favorite little flower to grow, harvest, and use.
from experimenting to formulating
I got curious about replacing my own store-bought skincare and haircare with something purer and more effective. That curiosity turned into real education — I trained and certified as a natural skincare Formulator, learning to build products the way the professionals do.

After countless kitchen experiments and many mornings setting up a market table, I get to share what I make with you.
