My Story
It started in the garden. I learned about growing medicinal herbs at a local farm and started a few things in the backyard. I harvested and dried herbs, then made various tinctures and balms. Gradually the number of raised beds increased. The more I learned about herbs, the more I wanted to grow!
As I began crafting balms and sharing them as gifts, the enthusiastic feedback poured in: "Please make more!" And so, Golden Petal Herb Studio was born. The "Golden Petal" is the bright orange Calendula which is a gentle powerhouse of anti-inflammatory action. It's my favorite little flower to grow, harvest and use.
I soon became interested in replacing my expensive skincare and haircare products with something pure and more effective. I invested in education and learned to make skincare like a true Formulator.
So here we are. After many kitchen experiments and community markets, I share my products with you! More to come!

I grow as many herbs as possible to ensure the highest quality and potency in every product. For herbs that I can't grow, I purchase from organic or wildcrafted options.

Ingredients You Can Trust
I prioritize organic, US origin and non-GMO options from vetted suppliers in the herb and cosmetic industry. These suppliers test their products and have an excellent reputation in formulator and herbalist circles. I also have a strict rule - absolutely no petroleum derived ingredients in my products!

Intentional Design
When you get the formulation right, you don't need exotic ingredients or rare extracts. Just pure, purposeful ingredients doing exactly what they're meant to do. Usability and performance matter to me so the products are designed with this in mind.

Rooted in Community
I believe in keeping it local — not because I have to, but because I want to. You'll find me at community events, in neighborhood conversations, and through the friends who have become regulars. Shopping small and staying connected is a choice I'm proud to make.
